Microscope Accessories and Replacement Parts
General accessories and parts for use with microscopes. Products include lens oil, lens cleaner, slide dispensers, microscope covers, vessel holders, light cubes, and flow cells.
Many parts of your microscope can be updated or replaced including microscope lamps, lenses, and eyepieces. Replacement lamps, light sources, and power cords can extend the working lives of your microscopy equipment. New or replacement objectives and lenses can help increase the total magnification available with your microscope.
Add greater magnification or exchange your eyepiece for one with a reticule to more easily estimate the sizes of the items being viewed.
Replace or update your mechanical stage or clamps or add cell culture vessel adapters to facilitate specimen positioning.
Condensers can also be replaced, and conversion kits are available to add phase contrast, polarization, fluorescence, or other capabilities to your current system.
Some microscopes can be adapted for use with still or video cameras. Look for cameras and adapters designed for your specific microscope brand. Film and documentation-related products may also be available to support your record-keeping.
Temporary, semi-permanent, and more long-term slide storage options include:
- Slide racks that securely hold slides during staining procedures
- Folding fiberboard or plastic slide holders with horizontal indentations that keep microscope slides in place
- Slide storage boxes with vertical dividers; made from fiberboard, plastic, and wood and available in multiple sizes
- Slide holders and mailers for transporting slides safely
- Slide storage systems and cabinets for large quantities of slides or archival storage

Electron Microscopy Sciences TEM Specimen Grinder Model 160
The Model 160 Specimen Grinder is an accurate and dependable tool for mechanically prethinning specimens in preparation for transmission electron microscopy (TEM). It greatly reduces the time spent during the final preparation process of ion beam milling. The grinder accommodates up to 18 mm diameter specimens.
A graduated scale allows the specimen thickness to be easily and precisely controlled. The large diameter provides excellent stability. Specimens with uniform thickness and parallel sides are consistently produced because of the precise fit of the specimen platen into the grinder body. The grinder is heavy enough to provide sufficient grinding force on the specimen. The platen is transferable to the Model 200 Dimpling Grinder.
Dino Lite BL-ZW1 Polarized Back-light Stage
BL-ZW1 is a backlight stage polarizer designed for use with Dino-Lite models with built on polarizers. (Examples: AM4113ZT, AF4115ZT, AF4915ZT, AM7115ZT, etc). BL-ZW1 is a sturdy and attractive backlight stage that is powered through a USB cord or AC Adapter. Adjustment of the polarizer is simply performed by sliding the wheel adjustment located on the front of the stage. Diameter of illumination: 4.5cm.
Electron Microscopy Sciences Cold Mount TransFix Epoxy Resin
570 g powder; 500 ml liquid. Lowest shrinkage of cold mounting resins. Curing time is long, excellent adhesion to most materials. Used for vacuum impregnation. Hardened epoxy is duroplastic and not affected by moderate heat or chemicals.
Color: Colorless, clear cured under pressure, otherwise semi-transparent

Electron Microscopy Sciences Cold Mount LiteFix Acrylic Resin
600g powder, 300 ml liquid. Easy to use resins with short curing times and negligible shrinkage. Self-polymerizing components that harden with addition of catalyst. Hardened acrylic is thermoplastic/resistant to most chemicals.
